Comprehensive Institutional Plan

June 1, 2011

The Honourable Greg Weadick, MLA
Minister of Advanced Education and Technology

#324 Legislature Building
10800 - 97 Avenue
Edmonton, AB T5K 2B6

Dear Minister Weadick:

On behalf of the Bow Valley College community, I am pleased to submit this 2011-2014 Comprehensive Institutional Plan (PDF - 976 KB). Through our plan, we will manage a challenging fiscal environment yet still advance strategic priorities that bring our College closer to engaging the full scope of its mandate.

This Comprehensive Institutional Plan was prepared under the Board's direction in accordance with legislation and associated ministerial guidelines, and in consideration of all policy decisions and material, economic, or fiscal implications of which the Board is aware. The Board approved this plan on May 25, 2011.

As a proud partner in Campus Alberta and the comprehensive community college for Calgary and its surrounding regional communities, we are committed to enhancing access throughout our service region. Together with government, a network of partners, and community supporters, we will develop and provide adult education programs and services that equip people for lifelong learning and full participation in Alberta's economy.

This plan draws on the collective wisdom of the College's many stakeholders and community members. I wish to acknowledge as well the policy direction and support from the Government of Alberta in ensuring a strong post-secondary education system for Alberta and its people.

Should you wish to discuss any of the details contained in the Bow Valley College 2011-2014 Comprehensive Institutional Plan (PDF - 976 KB), please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

[Original signed by Ms. Stalinski]
