Improve your English in a small-group setting with the support

55+ ESL Tutorials

Every Day English   l ^top

Learn English in a fun-filled environment. Classes are offered from
beginner to advanced levels. You can also participate in extra
pronunciation and vocabulary classes. For more information, call
403-410-3408.

Dates: Jan. 20 – Mar 26, 2009 (Tues. & Thurs.)

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Registration: Ongoing

Fees: $55.00 plus G.S.T.

Culture and Community   l ^top

Practice English while learning about community resources and
participate in leisure activities. Topics may include:

• art appreciation and crafts
• nature and gardening
• financial planning and retirement
• health and wellness
• cooking and nutrition
• travel and leisure

Dates: Jan. 20 – Mar. 26, 2009 (Tues. & Thurs.)
Apr. 21 – Jun. 25, 2009

Learn and practice grammar that will help to improve your communication skills.

Business English and Etiquette   l ^top

Practice business communication skills and learn about Canadian
workplace etiquette.

Volunteer Opportunities

English as a Second Language Volunteer Program

Help second-language speakers learn English by assisting in an ESL
classroom or by tutoring a small group of adult ESL learners. To become a volunteer, call 403-410-3408 or contact jrobarts@bowvalleycollege.ca

English Language Training Support For Internationally Educated Nurses Practical Nurse Diploma Program

Language training instructors, in partnership with practical nurse
instructors, help participants acquire the nursing knowledge, clinical
judgment, and communication skills required for practical nursing in
Canada. For details on the health portion of the program, see page
