BVCAA Volunteer Opportunities

Alumni Advisory Council                                                                                                                                               

We want you!! The BVCAA is looking for BVC Alumni who are committed to Bow Valley College and interested in a 2 year term as a member of the Alumni Advisory Council. The council will be made up of eight alumni members, one current student and one BVCAA staff person. We are looking to fill the following positions by October 31, 2011:

  • Chair
  • Vice-chair
  • Academic Upgrading representative
  • ESL representative
  • Business and Industry representative
  • Health Care and Human Services representative
  • Aboriginal representative
  • Corporate Readiness Training Program representative
  • Student representative (1 year term)

*Department/program representatives must be alumni of the department or program that they are representing. Chair and Vice-chair positions can be filled by any BVCAA member.

Two year terms will include a commitment to attend 3 council meetings annually, one AGM and a council retreat at the beginning of each term.

Country Ambassador Program
Share your perspective. International education is one of Bow Valley College's greatest strengths. This program is in place to give our International students someone to identify with. Country Ambassadors are a group of International alumni and students who are willing to share their experiences and advice with other new Canadians currently attending or planning to attend Bow Valley College.
