Counsellor Appointments

Drop-In Appointments

We offer drop-in sessions for your convenience. You can ask for a drop-in appointment on the same day that you would like to see a counsellor by coming to Learner Success Services, N-344, 3rd floor North Campus before 8:00 a.m.

Scheduled Appointments

We offer scheduled appointments that can be booked in advance. These appointments can be booked in Learner Success Services in N-344, over the phone by calling 403-410-1440, or by email: css@bowvalleycollege.ca. We also can make referrals to other community services.

Emergency Appointments

Emergency appointments are for students who are in immediate crisis – something that may threaten the health and/or safety of the student. If you feel you are in crisis, either during or after classes, there is help available. During regular office hours, please come to the Learner Success Services, N344 – and someone will help you make an emergency appointment to see a counsellor. You can also call us at 403-410-1440 to make an appointment.

I have a note to see a counsellor...Why did I get a note?

You may receive a note to see a counsellor if you:

  • need to check your academic progress;
  • are failing a course; or
  • need to review your career goal pre-requisites.

If you receive a note to see a counsellor, you need to contact us to make an appointment. Please bring your note to Learner Success Services, N344 or call 403-410-1440 and we will help you set up an appointment to meet with a counsellor.
