LLC Literacy Circles
Bow Valley College learners are welcome to join our free literacy circles to practice their speaking, listening and writing skills. Before joining an LLC Literacy Circle, please see library staff at the circulation desk with your student ID card.
The ESL Conversation and Writing Circles are held on the 2nd floor of the RGO Library & Learning Commons. See below or visit the blog here for more information.

|ESL Conversation Circle|
The ESL Conversation Circle is a drop-in program where Bow Valley College ESL learners can practice speaking and listening to English in a relaxed and fun setting. With the help of a coach, learners discuss topics related to living in Canada such as work, play, community and culture.
The ESL Conversation Circle meets in Room N248 at the following times:
Wednesday: 11:00 am - noon & 1:00 - 2:00 pm
Thursday: 11:00 am - noon & 1:00 - 2:00 pm
Friday: 11:00 am - noon & 1:00 - 2:00 pm
The Writing Circle is a drop-in program where Bow Valley College learners can practice their writing skills in a safe and friendly environment. Learners of all levels and backgrounds come together to write about various topics, learn to free-write and brainstorm, and improve the overall style, structure, and organization of their writing. Activities aim to build community at the college while helping learners gain confidence in grammar, vocabulary, and spelling.
Come to Room N252 during the following times:
Monday: 2:00 - 4:00 pm
Tuesday: 10:00 am - noon
Thursday: 2:00 - 4:00 pm
