Tips and tricks to reduce printing cost
The cost of printing and photocopying is $0.05 per copy.

- To print/photocopy in the LLC, students need to purchase a Pay for Print (PFP) card for $1.00 from the LLC circulation desk. Once purchased, the PFP card will have a $1.00 loaded onto it, ready for you to use.
- Value can be added to the PFP card at the LLC circulation desk, using cash, debit or credit card. Value can be also loaded to your PFP card online using a credit card. Click here to load PFP card online.
- The minimum value that can be added to a PFP card is $1.00 and the maximum is $10.00.
- There are no refunds for lost, stolen and/or misused PFP cards.

- Send the document you’d like to print to the printer as you normally would.
- Go to the release station (computer beside the printer) and swipe your PFP card through the card reader.
- You will be asked to enter a User ID. This is an ID that has been assigned to each computer; it is found on each computer on the red label. (Example: N14084).
- Your print job will be displayed on the release station screen; select the document you want to print.
- Click print.

- Swipe your card on the green card reader which is found beside the printer.
- Feed through, or place, the original document to be copied.
- Press the start button on the printer to copy.
- Once you’re finished, press the CLR button on the green card reader. (if you don’t press CLR when you’re done, the following user will be able to use the credit on your card).
- Don’t forget to take your original document and the photocopies with you.

| Tips and tricks to reduce printing cost |
- Preview your document using the Print Preview feature.
- Edit the document online and print only the final version.
- Print 6 slides per page when printing a PowerPoint presentation.
- Avoid printing webpages. Copy the text needed from the website and paste into a Microsoft Word document, then print only the word document.
- Print at home if possible.
- Save the documents on your USB drive and/or email them to yourself.
