Understand your Results

When you perform a search, the LLC catalogue will either display a list of results found or display a list of closest match to select if it doesn't find any record that matches your search keywords. The image below is an example of a typical search results screen.
The call number is the number that allows you to locate the item on the shelves. The number of copies available is the number of copies that are at the LLC's shelves at the moment. When all the copies are checked out, the catalogue will allow you to place a hold. To view the full record, click on the title. In the full record you will find the publisher, the pagination, the location (main campus) and the subject headings. Some records include also a summary and the table of contents of the title. You can change your search or narrow it by clicking on one of the subject headings proposed by the catalogue in the box located at the right hand side of the screen. |
