The Teaching and Learning Enhancement unit supports the integration of educational technology into instructional practice and is the primary provider of skill development for all BVC staff and instructors related to Blackboard, MS Office and Adobe Connect. As expertise within the TLE unit continues to grow and change over time, please contact TLE if you are interested in a program that may not appear here.
MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher & Outlook
MS Office tools can help you perform your tasks more efficiently and effectively. From basics to intermediate skills, the TLCE consultants help identify the tools and applications that can help you become more efficient and support the development of associated skills. For example:

Adobe Connect
Web conferencing is a cost effective, sustainable way to conduct live meetings virtually. Whether you are looking for a solution to conduct a meeting, training session or conference session, Adobe Connect has tools to support presentations, conversations and participant interaction. The one click recording ability allows recordings of Connect sessions to be viewed again or by those unable attend the live session. The Media Resource Centre offers equipment that can be borrowed for Connect sessions if needed (headphones, microphones, cables, computers, etc). The Adobe Connect page provides suggestions for using Connect and links to self-serve tutorials.
