Flight Dispatcher

This course is offered in partnership with and taught by BDA Flight
Training Ltd. Performing one of aviation’s most important roles,
aircraft flight dispatchers share with pilots the ultimate
responsibility for flight safety. The flight dispatcher is
responsible for aircrew and weather briefing, flight planning,
aircraft performance, weight limitations, and flight safety.
The Flight Dispatcher Ground School prepares the learner for the
Transport Canada written exam – a prerequisite for employment as a
flight dispatcher with both charter and major airlines. The
Transport Canada Flight Dispatcher Exam covers two areas:
Exam 1 – Flight Operations, and Exam 2 – Meteorology. In order to
become employed as a Flight Dispatcher (and commence on-the-job
training with an air operator) students must have passed both
Transport Canada generic examinations.
Note: Following the completion of the Transport Canada
generic examinations, candidates must complete the air operator
training as approved by Transport Canada.
A certificate is issued upon successful completion.

Time: 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
