event administration. Learn about determining a clients motivation for
an event and fitting the event to their goals and objectives, developing
event timelines, and the rules, regulations, and standards involved in

Organizing and Funding an
Event

Explore media marketing for special events, event sponsorship, staff
requirements for an event, event organization and post-event analysis.
Learn to design a basic marketing plan, draft a sponsorship proposal,
anticipate event organization needs, create an event critical path, and
analyze all aspects of the event and relate them back to event
objectives.

This course covers the details that an event manager deals with from
event location to on-site communications. Learn about food and beverage
logistics, accommodations and transportation for guests, creating an
on-site communications plan, the impact of audio, visual and
entertainment decisions, and the activities required to close an event.

Planning an Event

develop an actual event plan. The key components of event planning
are reviewed, and an overview of the process of creating an event
plan is discussed. The development of the final project requires
out-of-class time.
