ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL)
This full-time ESL program is open to Landed immigrants, Convention
Refugees and Canadian citizens. In this program, you will learn about
Canadian work culture and learn strategies to lessen language barriers.

You will also learn how to effectively interact with co-workers and
clients, and meet employer expectations. Career Link is a full-time, four month course designed to assist you in understanding the Canadian labour market, how to successfully find and maintain employment and how to communicate effectively at work.

Course Modules will include:
• Clear Speech
• Speaking With Confidence
• Job Search
• Success in the Workplace
• Goal Setting and Lifelong Learning
• Workplace Literacy

Prerequisites: Canadian Language Benchmarks 5/6 or permission from
the ESL and Languages Department

Location: Rocky Mountain Plaza Campus

Dates: Jan. 6 – Apr. 24, 2009 (Mon. – Fri.)
May 4 – Aug. 20, 2009 (Mon. – Fri.)

Time: 12:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
