CompTIA A+ Certification

This course is designed for individuals interested in working in Information Technology, specifically PC technology. CompTIA A+ is the industry standard for computer support technicians. The international, vendor-neutral certification proves competence in areas such as installation, preventative maintenance, networking, security, and troubleshooting. CompTIA A+ certified technicians also have excellent customer service and communication skills to work with clients. This course prepares you to write the two exams required to become CompTIA A+ certified.

Prerequisite:

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems

Objectives:

Learn how to install, configure, and upgrade computers and peripherals. With our hands-on learning format, you will learn in real-time how to diagnose and troubleshoot common problems and system malfunctions, implement safety and preventive maintenance procedures, and disassemble a computer down to the motherboard, and then rebuild it. Learn how to function as an administrator by setting up user accounts, managing file permissions and directories, working with virtual memory, and implementing network security. You’ll learn to diagnose and troubleshoot network problems via the Administrative Tools folder and perform various commands such as Ping, Tracert, PathPing, and IPCONF IG. CompTIA A+ is a vendor neutral certificate sponsored by CompTIA (Computing Technology Industry Association.
