In the dead of winter, nothing feels better than jotting off to warmer climes. We will explore a variety of wines from the Mediterranean (Italy, Spain, France, Greece & Portugal) and unveil their similarities and differences. Get ready to roll up your sleeves and explore.

California Dreaming - Wines from Napa & Sonoma Valleys
The Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley are home to some of the top wine estates in California. Both have set the bench mark for quality and although they have similarities, they are also remarkably different. We will taste 6 different wines and learn why wines from these 2 regions garner so much attention from the international wine community.

Viva Italy in a Glass
Italy is home to over 500 native grape varieties! We will take a "tour" of Italy from north to south and uncover some of the unique grape varieties. Be prepared to find a new favourite to go with your favourite pizza or pasta dish!

Canadian Wines 101
Interest in Canadian wine has never been greater and we are excited to taste a selection of wines from the Okanagan Valley (BC) and Niagara Peninsula (Ontario). We will learn what grape varieties are making a name for themselves in each region.

The world of wine is divided into two main categories - Old World and New World. We'll compare grape varietals from different parts of the globe and learn how the place where they are grown can affect the end result in the glass.

One Wine and Four Cheeses

A perfect class to inspire wine and cheese pairings for your holiday parties!  In this class you'll taste wines and learn to identify body, the strength of tannins, and sweetness or dryness.  You'll learn how appropriate cheese pairings will enhance (or otherwise effect) the delicate balances of flavors in different wines.

The Best of "House Wine"

In this class you'll join Laurie MacKay, wine expert for CBC Radio, for a special tasting of the best wines that have been reviewed on the popular CBC Homestretch feature, "House Wine".  You'll taste several wines that are the 'stars' of House Wine and you'll learn what makes each of these wines so special. (And affordable at $25 or less a bottle!)
