Computer Basics

Explore the basics of the Windows operating system, computer hardware fundamentals, and basic word processing. Topics include an introduction to computers, elements of personal computers, exploring the operating system, customizing and personalizing your desktop, and managing documents, folders, and files.

Microsoft Word 2007 – Basics
This introductory seminar covers basic word-processing concepts and techniques. Topics covered include document creation, saving, printing, font attributes, headers/footers, page numbering, copy/paste, cut/paste, and more.

Microsoft Word 2007 – Skillbuilder
Learn to apply more Word features to enhance your work. This course teaches how to use symbols, indexes, create templates and wizards, mail merge, and edit and calculate within tables.

Microsoft Word 2007 – Mastering
Learn to apply sophisticated Word features to enhance the look and efficiency of your work. This course teaches how to work with styles and columns, insert pictures, draw and format objects, and work with desktop publishing concepts.

Microsoft Excel 2007 – Basic
Here you will learn basic spreadsheet techniques such as how to enter, analyze and calculate data, how to use simple formulas, and how to create graphs and format worksheets.

Microsoft Excel 2007 – Skillbuilder
Build on your basic knowledge of Excel to increase your productivity. You will learn to create and format charts, protect worksheet data, and create advanced formulas.

Microsoft Excel 2007 – Mastering
Work with multiple worksheets by linking data, use the database and sorting features, and customize the Excel workspace.

Microsoft Access 2007
This workshop teaches you to create a database using design and datasheet view, construct and print tables; and use forms.

Microsoft PowerPoint 2007
Learn to create presentations that include colour, animated text, graphics, charts, and sounds. You’ll find out how to add speakers’ notes and create professional-looking audience handouts
