English Language Learning at Bow Valley College

Whether you're a newcomer looking to improve your English, or an international student who wants to study in Canada, Bow Valley College has the English Language Learning (ELL) program to fit your needs.

Full-time LINC

Full-time LINC

These programs are for Permanent Residents and Convention Refugees. Learners focus on all language skill areas (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and acquire the skills and knowledge they need to successfully settle in Canada.
 
Full-time ELL (English Language Learning)

Full-time ELL (English Language Learning)

These programs are for learners who are not eligible for LINC funding. They provide instruction in reading, writing and learning strategies as well as listening and speaking. Learners develop an understanding of Canadian culture and engage in real-life activities that help them live and work in Canada.
 
 
English for Academic Purposes

English for Academic Purposes

This full-time program is for internationally educated learners whose first language is not English. It provides learners with the strategies and skills needed to succeed in academic courses at Canadian post-secondary institutions.
 
Corporate Readiness Training Program (CRTP)

Corporate Readiness Training Program (CRTP)

This full-time program is for internationally trained professionals who are looking to start their career in Canada. It provides learners with the skills they need to find a job and the business communication skills they will need to excel.
 
 

Immigration Practitioner Certificate Program

The Immigration Practitioner Certificate is an accredited program by the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC).
 
Bridge

Bridge

This full-time program is for immigrant youth between the ages of 18 and 24 who have not completed high school. It provides instruction in reading, writing, academic strategies, math and technology.

Youth in Transition (LINC)

This full-time program is for immigrant youth between the ages of 18 and 24 who have completed high school. It provides instruction in language and academic skills as well as preparation for further post-secondary education in Canada.
