Our part-time Practical Nurse program begins every fall and can be completed in 8 semesters. This program is delivered in a blended format, combining online & classroom learning, lab study, and clinical experience.
If you have already completed your Health Care Aide Certificate, this program allows you to pursue your Practical Nurse Diploma while receiving recognition for prior learning. This program can be completed in 4 semesters.
Have you been educated as a Registered Nurse outside of Canada? Begin this program by writing challenge exams that test your prior knowledge. Based on your exam results, you will complete an individualized study program.
Has your Practical Nurse License expired? Update your knowledge and skills to meet current practice standards and licensure requirements in Alberta. This program includes a challenge exam, online study, and clinical workshops.
