Practical Nurse Diploma (Full-Time)

Our full-time Practical Nurse diploma program emphasizes hands-on learning and can be completed in 4 semesters (17 months). Candidates are eligible for licensure upon successful completion of this program and a national exam.

Practical Nurse Diploma (Part-Time)

Our part-time Practical Nurse program begins every fall and can be completed in 8 semesters. This program is delivered in a blended format, combining online & classroom learning, lab study, and clinical experience.

Health Care Aide Bridging to Practical Nurse Diploma Program

If you have already completed your Health Care Aide Certificate, this program allows you to pursue your Practical Nurse Diploma while receiving recognition for prior learning. This program can be completed in 4 semesters.

Practical Nurse Diploma for Internationally Educated Nurses

Have you been educated as a Registered Nurse outside of Canada? Begin this program by writing challenge exams that test your prior knowledge. Based on your exam results, you will complete an individualized study program.

Practical Nurse Re-Entry Program

Has your Practical Nurse License expired? Update your knowledge and skills to meet current practice standards and licensure requirements in Alberta. This program includes a challenge exam, online study, and clinical workshops.

Aboriginal Practical Nurse Diploma

Acquire the knowledge and skills of a Practical Nurse in the context of Aboriginal culture and values. Aboriginal perspectives on wellness, spirituality, community, and traditional healing methods are considered alongside western traditions.
