5.1 Governing Law

These Terms and the relationship between you and Bow Valley College shall be governed by the laws of the province of Alberta without regard to its conflicts of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within the province of Alberta.

5.2 Severability

If any provision of the Terms is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, void or unenforceable in any respect, the remainder of that provision in every other respect and the Terms of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect and shall in no way be affected, impaired, or invalidated. Furthermore, in lieu of such illegal, invalid or unenforceable provision there shall be added automatically as part of this Agreement, a provision similar in its terms to such illegal, invalid and unenforceable provisions as may be possible and be legal, valid and enforceable.
