Course Description

Basic Life Support CPR is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. Learn to recognize cardiac arrest, activate the emergency response system, and respond confidently. Practice CPR skills for all ages, both as a single rescuer and as a member of a multi-rescuer team.

  • Child BLS
  • Infant BLS
  • Special Considerations
  • Adult and Child Choking
  • Infant Choking
  • Exam and Skills Testing

This course is required for Practical Nurse Program clinical placements and recommended for Health Care Aide Program clinical placements.

The Heart & Stroke Foundation will issue a certificate, valid for 1 year, upon successful completion of this course.
