The skill of phlebotomy requires obtaining blood specimens from a vein. It is usually used for diagnostic testing purposes. This micro-credential provides a comprehensive overview of the knowledge and skills required to perform phlebotomy and dermal puncture safely and competently.
Active Canadian nursing license or completion of Bow Valley College’s NURS2204 (Nursing Foundations 3).
All course materials and individual student lab kit provided. The lab is scheduled on the last day of the course. You must complete the online self-study and pass the online exam before participating in the lab.
If the minimum enrolment target is not met, a course may be cancelled.
Please do not finalize travel arrangements until the course is confirmed.
