In collaboration with the Professional Security Knowledge Network (PSKN), Bow Valley College is offering Alberta Basic Security Training.
This is a comprehensive training microcredential for individuals seeking to enter this industry. It is designed to increase knowledge about the daily duties and responsibilities of a security professional and build the confidence needed to meet the challenges of the workplace.
This is an online microcredential delivered in seven modules and is equivalent to 40 hours of classroom instruction. The microcredential prepares you to write the provincial licensing exam.
Provincial Licensing Exam
The fee includes one sitting of the exam. You can complete the one hour exam at home, being supervised by a trained and approved proctor from eProctor Canada. If you are successful, you will receive your Licensing Exam Certificate from the Alberta Solicitor General’s Office by email within three to four business days.
