Dr. Tony Wigglesworth is a distinguished researcher and academic leader with a PhD in Organic Chemistry, specializing in photo-responsive materials. His impressive career includes serving as a research scientist at Xerox Innovation Group, where he developed advanced materials for printed electronics and holds 47 US patents, several of which were acquired by Samsung. At Innovate Calgary, he supported the commercialization of University of Calgary research with a focus on clean technology, helping researchers spin out companies including carbon capture businesses. Currently serving as Associate Dean in the School of Technology and Academic Innovation, Dr. Wigglesworth also sits on the Board of Directors for SeeO2 Energy Inc. He helped launch the Centre of Entertainment Arts and led the Digital Entertainment Nexus OCIF proposal. A passionate advocate for AI integration in education, Dr. Wigglesworth believes in embracing technology tools in both operations and teaching. He has extensive media interview experience and is available for commentary on technology innovation, clean tech, AI in education, and academic-industry partnerships.
