This comprehensive course introduces the structure of the human body and its relationship to the function and integration of the twelve body systems as well as how they work to maintain homeostasis. Learners will gain an in depth understanding of the organization of the human body from the chemical and cellular level to the tissues, organs and organ systems. This course will also facilitate understanding of the terminology associated with the human body.
This course will have two (2) in-person exams: a mid-term exam and a final exam.
Both exams will take place at the main Bow Valley College campus. You will be notified of the exam dates in the Course Offering Information document, available to you on your first day of class.
If you are taking a Blended Synchronous class your exams are in-person ONLY. They will not be held online.
If you reside outside of the Calgary area and are taking a Blended Synchronous class, you have two options how you can write your exams:
