Watch the video below to learn more about how Pilot Partners across Canada supported the Skills for Success Validation Study.
The project is currently closed and no longer recruiting post-secondary institutions, training providers, and employers across Canada to join our team.
Pilot Partners had an opportunity to:
be a part of impactful national research that is responding to the evolving needs of the Canadian labour market,
extend the positive benefits of Skills for Success evaluation and training to their students, clients, and employees,
coordinate the piloting of new evaluations and training aligned with Skills for Success,
contribute valuable feedback to improve the quality of resources available,
support Canadians in building the foundational skills needed to adapt and thrive in work, learning, and daily life,
obtain access to an extensive suite of materials, skills training, and resources needed to lead piloting, and
receive funding to support their involvement.
Pilot Partners:
supported the project research objectives through piloting the new Skills for Success evaluation and training resources, targeting reading, numeracy, writing, and digital skills,
recruited students, clients, or employees to participate in the research,
selected from several piloting models to best fit their needs and availability,
delivered evaluations to measure and identify skills proficiency,
provided participants with access to a suite of asynchronous online training resources to support skills development,
were provided with training to support their delivery and resources to facilitate their participation,
received funding to offset costs associated with participation,
had an opportunity to provide feedback about the tools, resources, and their experience as a partner, and
provided valuable feedback and insights needed to test, refine, adapt, and implement the new skills model over the next several years.
