Business Administration - Accounting Major

Graduates with an Accounting Major gain a strong understanding of business while developing career-ready accounting skills, soft skills, and other essential business abilities for success in the field.

Career Path & Transfer Credits

The Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) program offers transfer credits for several courses. For details, see the CPA Alberta Transfer Credit Guide.

Time Commitment

This is a two-year (four-term) diploma program. A standard course load is five courses per term, though full-time status can be maintained with at least three courses. Taking fewer than five courses per term will extend your program completion time.

Program Delivery

Course Delivery

The diploma includes core business courses and major-specific accounting courses. Classes are available in person and online, though not all courses may be offered online each semester. Some courses with midterms (maximum two per course) and final exams must be completed in person or at an approved invigilation site. Consult the Academic Advising Team for help planning your program.
