Cybersecurity Solutions

Cybersecurity talent is in high demand across Alberta and Canada. This diploma prepares you for entry-level analyst roles that protect organizations from cyber threats.

You’ll start with core IT skills—networking, systems, cloud fundamentals, scripting, and security basics. In Year 2, you’ll dive into cybersecurity with hands-on learning in:

  • threat detection and response,
  • vulnerability assessment and penetration testing,
  • identity and access management,
  • governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), and
  • security operations.

Learning is practical and job-focused, with labs, real tools, and scenarios that mirror current industry practice. You’ll also have the option to complete work-integrated learning through a capstone project.

Our academic partnerships with Microsoft, Cisco, ServiceNow, Palo Alto Networks, and Fortinet ensure curriculum quality and provide pathways to industry certifications that employers value.

Our promise to students and employers

Calgary’s tech ecosystem needs cybersecurity talent now. This diploma is designed to close the skills gap by:

  • teaching foundational IT in Year 1 and specialized cybersecurity in Year 2,
  • embedding industry tools and certifications that boost employability, and
  • offering work-integrated learning to connect classroom and workplace.

The result: Graduates ready to contribute on day one—and a stronger talent pipeline for Alberta’s growing tech sector.

Career opportunities:
  • SOC Analyst
  • Cybersecurity Analyst
  • Vulnerability Analyst
  • Junior Penetration Tester
  • Identity & Access Analyst
  • GRC/Compliance Coordinator
