Looking for a refund? There are few things to know.
Ensure you have taken the proper steps to inform us, so you are not dropped from your semester classes for non-payment.
If you have not already done so, notify the Financial Aid Office (financialaid@bowvalleycollege.ca) that you have applied for a student loan.
All approved funding through student loans will be sent directly to you. It is your responsibility to be aware of the tuition/fees owed to the College and to pay them upon receipt to you from the funder.
Please note: Tuition and fees must be paid even if your student loan application is rejected or declined.
If you have a funded seat in the upcoming term for either the Upgrading and English for Academic Purposes (EAP), programs, it will be paid to Bow Valley College directly.
Please note: there may be some fees you are required to pay out of pocket. These fees must be paid by the fee payment deadline or your courses will be dropped.
This information does not apply to Bow Valley College scholarships. If you’re receiving a scholarship from Bow Valley College, it will be paid to your student account directly.
If you’re receiving a scholarship from a company or group outside of Bow Valley College, they may ask you to have certain paperwork filled out by the College to confirm your enrolment and program. Email the forms you need completed by Bow Valley College to registrar@bowvalleycollege.ca. A records officer will fill in and sign the appropriate sections and return the completed forms back to you within five (5) working days.
It is your responsibility as a student to submit the completed forms back to your funding agency. Your tuition account will not be considered paid until payment is received from your funding agency. If you do not think your scholarship will reach us in time, contact us right away at 403-410-1400 or registrar@bowvalleycollege.ca for guidance.

Refunds depend on your course type, student status, and when you request to withdraw. For credit courses, deadlines follow the academic calendar. For non-credit and continuing education courses, deadlines depend on the course start date.
If you face exceptional circumstances, like illness or emergencies, you can request a refund for review with supporting documentation. Policies may differ for domestic and international students, and health and dental opt-outs have their own rules. If you have an overdue account, any refund may first go toward your balance.
Any course cancelled by Bow Valley College will receive a 100% refund, automatically returned to your original payment method.
For more details on how to get a refund, log into your MyBVC or BVC Central account.
