Step 1. Check application dates.

See upcoming start dates and deadlines.

Check the application dates for English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and apply while applications are open. Classes can fill up quickly, so don’t wait to apply.

Step 2. Get your documents ready.

Before you begin, make sure you have the following:

*IELTS and Duolingo test results are valid for two (2) years from the test date. Results that expire before the program start date cannot be accepted. Official results must be submitted.**Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) tests are available at C-LARC.

Step 3. Submit your application.

Apply through ApplyAlberta and pay the $90 application fee.

Please note: You’ll need to pay a separate application fee for each intake or program you apply to.

PAY NOW
When you apply online through ApplyAlberta, you can pay online using Visa or MasterCard.
PAY LATER
If you do not want to pay online, you can choose the 'Pay Later' option.

Please note that your application will not be processed until you pay the non-refundable application fee.

Step 4. Complete your placement.

You’re almost done! Make sure you provide Bow Valley College with your most recent language test scores or CLB course benchmarks.

Email your CLB results to registrar@bowvalleycollege.ca. 
After you apply, you’ll take the EAP placement test. We’ll let you know your course placement and if a seat is available. We will send you information about testing once we receive your application.

Interested in funding?
When a seat becomes available, you can decide whether you wish to attend the program as a fee-paying student or apply for Foundational Learning Assistance Program (FLAP) funding. Students must be registered in an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course before they can apply for FLAP funding.
