Applications for post-secondary career programs open 12 months in advance for international students and 11 months in advance for domestic students. Applications for foundational programs, like English for Academic Purposes or Upgrading, open 4 months in advance of a start date.

Refugee claimants must hold a study permit to attend and cannot take advantage of the Study Permit Exemption from short term study. They are not eligible for domestic tuition fees. Refugee claimants with temporary resident status can attend a short-term course, provided they complete it within the period of their authorized stay.

English language test results are valid for two (2) years from the day of testing. Results that expire before the program start date cannot be accepted. Official results must be submitted.
