How can I check on the status of my application?

Applications are processed on a first qualified, first accepted basis. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks to hear back from the Admissions Officer after you have submitted your application and required documents (e.g., transcripts, English proficiency test results, etc.). Please note the Practical Nurse Diploma program applicants will not hear back on their eligibility until after the document submission deadline.

Domestic: If you have not received a response to your application after 6 weeks, you can email admissions@bowvalleycollege.ca

International: If you have not received a response to your application after 6 weeks, you can message Admissions through your VAS portal.

Has Admissions received my documents?

As long as you have received an auto-reply from the Admissions inbox you know that it has been received and is in the queue for assessment. If not, please follow up with admissions@bowvalleycollege.ca for confirmation.

Does Admissions need anything else from me?

Once you have submitted all your documents, please allow them time to review and assess this. If they need anything else from you, you will receive an email with this information. Please keep an eye on your email for updates.

Do I need to submit transcripts for education history if I didn’t finish the program?

Admissions requires transcripts for all declared education history through your application, even if it is not directly tied to the admissions requirements.

Do I need to submit official or unofficial High School transcripts?

If your High School was completed within Canada, Admissions requires the official transcripts to be sent directly to the College. If High School was outside of Canada, you can scan the unofficial copies to admissions@bowvalleycollege.ca

Do I need to submit an equivalency assessment (e.g. IQAS, WES) to qualify for admission?

No. It is not mandatory to complete an equivalency assessment before applying to a Bow Valley College program. Admissions will conduct equivalency assessments after you apply for admission to determine if your previous education can qualify you. If you already have an equivalency assessment in your possession, you can submit a copy alongside a copy of your original educational transcripts for Admissions to review.
