With the Advanced 3D Animation & 3D Modelling program, you’ll immerse yourself in a full-time, two-year experience at the Centre for Entertainment Arts (CEA). You’ll focus on every area, from character and creature animation to rigging, sculpting, texturing, and surfacing. Alongside these technical skills, you’ll also build a foundation in storytelling through acting, visual composition, look development, and the basics of compositing.
This program helps you grow as both an artist and a collaborator, sharpening your production, observation, and critical review skills. You’ll learn to take an idea from concept to completion — prototyping your own shots, animations, and models — and graduate with a polished portfolio that showcases your talent.
You’ll train with the same industry-standard software, tools, and workflows used by professionals. Through individual projects and team collaborations, you’ll produce portfolio-ready work that demonstrates your creative and technical range. The 3D animation courses will strengthen your understanding of animation principles, body mechanics, rigging, cloth simulation, and scripting. In the modelling courses, you’ll start with traditional drawing and sculpting techniques before carrying those skills into digital environments, mastering hard surface modelling, texturing, surfacing, and look development.
By the time you finish, you’ll have the skills and portfolio to make your mark in 3D animation, 3D modelling, visual effects, and games. With the advanced training gained here, some graduates may even be able to step past entry-level roles and move directly into more specialized opportunities.
