Registered Nurse Pathway to Canada Practice

The Registered Nurse Pathway to Canadian Practice is designed to support internationally educated nurses (IENs) and inactive or returning nurses in meeting requirements to practice in Canada. This comprehensive program provides the theoretical knowledge, skills and professional competencies necessary to ensure safe and effective nursing practice. This program empowers nurses with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to excel in their professional careers while ensuring high-quality patient care in Canada’s healthcare system.

Admission requirements

Applicants must present one of the following:

  • Official transcript showing completion of a 3-year or 4-year baccalaureate degree in nursing

or

  • Proof of active or former Registered Nursing license/registration in Canada

or

  • Official NCLEX certification

or

  • Official CRNA assessment outlining education assessment and language requirements
