Bow Valley College is commemorating its 60th anniversary this year. Since 1965, the college has grown from being a vocational training college with a handful of hopeful students attending new academic upgrading classes, to a career-focused college, helping students advance into meaningful careers. Throughout our 60 years, we have continued to stay true to our mission of providing career-focused education, ensuring student success and improving lives in our community.
We have grown significantly and evolved in many ways – from moving into our permanent home – North Campus, in 1972, becoming a board-governed institution and officially changing our name to Bow Valley College in 1998, to launching our state-of-the-art Digital Entertainment Nexus in 2023.
Over the last 60 years, we have built a rich history and our graduates, Bow Valley College’s alumni, have contributed to who we were, who we are, and who we need to be. Our alumni are our legacy – a community, a family of doers and makers, and we couldn’t be prouder of every student and graduate who has walked through our campus doors.
Join us in celebrating 60 years of making a difference by sharing your Bow Valley College memories, milestones, and reflections. We are Calgary's college.
