Bow Valley College Welcomes Sandi Kaye as Executive Director, Growth Initiatives and Chief Financial Officer

Bow Valley College is pleased to announce the appointment of Sandi Kaye as executive director, growth initiatives and chief financial officer, effective Jan. 5, 2026. In this role, Sandi will lead the Campus Services and Finance teams as the college continues to evolve and pursue new opportunities for growth in the heart of downtown Calgary.

Sandi brings a wealth of strategic and operational expertise to Bow Valley College, with a proven track record of leading transformational change in complex organizations. Most recently she served as interim chief transformation officer at Saskatchewan Blue Cross, where she led a multimillion-dollar digital transformation program. Her previous roles as chief financial officer at Central 1 and Connect First Credit Union Ltd. demonstrate her ability to balance financial stewardship with forward-thinking innovation.

Throughout her career Sandi has championed initiatives that improve and modernize operations without losing sight of the importance of people’s experience – especially employees and customers. From strategic planning and process improvement to systems renewal and infrastructure development, she delivers results that position organizations for success. Her academic work further reflects this commitment — her master's thesis at Athabasca University explored the critical relationship between organizational culture and change management, offering invaluable insights as Bow Valley College navigates its own period of transformation.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Sandi has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service, having served as a board member with Alberta Central and Accessible Housing, and on the audit and finance committee at Big Brothers Big Sisters. She is eager to become part of the Bow Valley College community and contribute to its mission of providing accessible, career-focused education in Calgary.

As we welcome Sandi to the executive team, we also extend our sincere thanks to Don Dart for his interim leadership. Don has provided essential oversight and guidance through the annual audit with external agencies and has supported both the campus services and finance teams during this transition period. He will remain with the college until Jan. 27, 2026, to ensure a smooth handover.
